Guidelines
and General Information
- Stalls
are available only for sellers of food, drink, plants and flowers who
produce the items themselves, on land owned or leased by them and within
a 30-mile (50km) radius of Tavistock.
- Unloading
of vehicles must be completed before 8.30am and loading cannot commence
before 1.00pm.
- Parking
is available nearby in pay and display car parks for vehicles up to
30cwt. (Directions will be gladly given on the day by the Market Manager)
- All
vehicles must be away from the market area by 8.45am.
- The
Market Manager will allocate places and stall positions at the market.
Please note that the Market Manager, who will be solely responsible
on the day for stall locations, will run the market.
- Produce
must be displayed within the stall itself and must not be placed on
the paved area in front or to the side of the stall, unless prior consent
has been obtained from the Market Manager.
- The
information you have supplied on the Food Hygiene Checklist will be
supplied to WDBC Environmental Health Department, who will inspect the
Market on a regular basis. It should be noted that it is the responsibility
of stallholders to comply with current food hygiene regulations at all
times.
- Only
produce certified by the Soil Association or other National Certification
bodies can be labelled as "Organic".
- The
current fee for a stall is £25 per market. Tavistock Farmers Market
Association reserves the right to alter this, by giving one months notice,
as and when it feels necessary.
- A copy
of the Associations current Regulations and its Constitution will be
given to you when your application has been accepted.
